Privacy Policy
Handy Everyday Tools is the English version of tools.vege.club. This policy explains how data is handled when you use the site. Last updated: October 7, 2026.
Inputs, images, and device features
The English tools process your text, numbers, and images in your browser. They do not send that input to our servers for processing. Loading the pages and their scripts, and running analytics and advertising, still involves network requests.
- QR Code Scanner reads selected or pasted images in your browser. Camera scanning requires your browser's permission. Camera frames are also processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
- Online Alarm Clock and Online Timer play sounds on your device using Web Audio. Your browser may not play sound until you click or tap the page.
- Online Timer and Online Stopwatch can request full-screen display. Your browser controls whether this is allowed; press Esc to leave full screen.
The site also has Traditional Chinese and Japanese tools. Two Chinese file converters (PPT to PDF and Excel to PDF) upload files to our conversion service. See the Chinese privacy policy for how those tools handle data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages and features people use and to improve the tools. It collects browsing information such as pages visited, time spent, device and browser type, and approximate location. It may use cookies or similar technology to recognize a browser.
When you click a button, switch tabs, or choose a drop-down option, our code tells GA4 which tool you used and the preset name of that button or option. These events do not read or record any text, numbers, addresses, or photos you provide.
Sharing links
The sharing buttons ("Copy link", "X", and "Facebook") add utm_source=share and utm_medium=copy, x, or facebook to the tool's URL so we can tell which sharing method was used. These links do not include amounts, dates, or other data you enter.
We do not load X or Facebook plug-ins. Clicking a social sharing link opens that website, where its own privacy policy applies.
Spin the Wheel's "Copy share link" button includes your items after #o= in the URL, so anyone who receives it can see them. Do not include information you want to keep private. The browser does not send the part after # to our servers.
Embedded tools
Chinese tools embedded on other websites (served from URLs starting with /embed/) also use GA4, which labels those visits as embedded use. They do not show AdSense ads. Calculations run in your browser, and what you enter is not sent to our servers or to the website hosting the embed.
These tools appear in an iframe on another website, so GA4 cookies are used in a third-party context. The SameSite=None; Secure setting lets the cookie be sent in a cross-site frame, although some browsers block third-party cookies regardless. GA4 may also record the hosting page's URL as a traffic source.
Advertising and cookies
We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on past visits to this and other websites and to measure ad performance.
- Manage or turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.
- Read how Google uses data from partner sites.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools still work if you block cookies, but advertising and analytics may behave differently.
Our own code does not set cookies. GA4 sets first-party cookies, such as _ga, on our domain. AdSense sets advertising cookies. CDNs such as Cloudflare may also set technical cookies for security and performance.
Server and CDN access logs
The site is served through hosting providers and CDNs such as Cloudflare. Like other websites, these services record access information when you connect, such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser and device information, and error records. The logs are used to keep the service running, keep it secure, troubleshoot problems, and block malicious traffic. They do not contain the input you enter into the tools.
Browser storage
The current English tools do not save your input in localStorage.
Some Chinese tools save data in your browser's localStorage. This is separate from cookies. The data stays on your device, is not sent to our servers, and is not included in page requests. Clear the site's data in your browser settings to delete it. The Chinese privacy policy lists which tools save data and how to clear it.
Registration and personal information
There are no accounts or login features. You do not need to provide a name, email address, or phone number to use the tools.
External websites
Our links to official sources, and the ads on this site, may take you to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Policy changes
We may change this policy when needed. We will publish changes here and update the date at the top of the page. For rules on using the site, see our Terms of Use.
